As I look at the future of Yancey County, I believe we need a government that is truly accountable to you. You deserve to know exactly where your tax dollars are going, why decisions are being made, and whether our spending is delivering real results. Growth is coming to our area, but we must guide it wisely with a plan that supports our local families, local businesses, and the unique character of our communities. I will fight to support our working families by addressing the everyday challenges of housing, wages, childcare, transportation, and basic affordability. Finally, while tourism can help Yancey, I will ensure it benefits our local residents first, rather than pricing us out or leaving us behind. A strong county must work for the people who live and work here every day, and that is exactly what I will stand for.
